Product discovery through iterative prototyping

There was one page on Comparis that ranked on Google for Loan Calculator & Loan Comparison, but it didn’t fulfil neither of the two use-cases in a satisfying way from a user perspective. In this project, we explored the question: How might we enable people best to compare and educate themselves about private loans?

Project outline

  • Project at Comparis, embedded in the SAFe framework

  • 2 days workshop, 1 day testing

  • My role: Participation in the workshops, my main responsibility were the testings: framing the hypotheses, guiding the designers in the prototyping phase to display the hypotheses in a tangible way as well as conducting, planning and analysing the testings

Methodology

  • Iterative discovery: repeatedly framing and reframing the design challenge as well as testing prototyped solutions in 3-day cycles:
    2 full-day workshops and 1 testing day

Impact

  • The page was separated in two different solutions: a credit calculator and a credit comparison.

  • The two pages rank better on Google now and perform well in terms of directing users to other pages.
